Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 12K LF 100G is a professional digital video camera intended for feature-film work, TV series, commercials, VFX shooting, nature documentaries and high-bandwidth IP live broadcast production, including sporting events and high frame rate replays. It is supplied as a complete, ready-to-use configuration and can be expanded with accessories already owned by the user.

Its 36 × 24 mm full-frame RGBW sensor uses larger photosites, reaches up to 12,288 × 8040 pixels and provides 16 stops of dynamic range, maintaining high image quality in demanding lighting conditions. The package includes a handle, stand, power supply, battery plate and PL mount; these items are supplied in this configuration rather than in the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF 100G Body version. A second 5" HDR touchscreen with dedicated controls, built-in IR ND filters and professional Lemo and Fischer connections are also provided.

Recording uses the 8 TB Blackmagic Media Module. The 100G Ethernet port supports SMPTE‑2110 live video transmission, while Wi‑Fi provides fast synchronisation with Blackmagic Cloud. The camera supports Blackmagic RAW up to 12K, offers professional audio with XLR inputs and phantom power, and is designed to work with Blackmagic and third-party accessories. Its construction is rugged and the platform accepts a broad range of optional accessories.

Key benefits include the 12K full-frame RGBW sensor, the secondary touchscreen for monitoring and intuitive on-set operation, integrated IR ND filters, advanced connectivity and live workflows through 100G Ethernet and SMPTE‑2110. The listed configuration has a PL mount as standard; an EF mount is described as optional, together with other dedicated mounts. The new B4 mount for broadcast lenses allows operation at up to 440 fps. Control and synchronisation functions include Blackmagic iPad control, Bluetooth control, Blackmagic Zoom Demand and Blackmagic Focus Demand for compatible lenses, and compatibility with the Blackmagic URSA Cine EVF.

Camera operation uses the 5" touchscreen menus, physical push buttons, seven assignable shortcut keys and six assignable EVF keys on the optional URSA Cine EVF. External camera control is also available through a REST API over Ethernet, Wi‑Fi or serial communication through the 7-pin Lemo connector. Local streaming uses Ethernet or Wi‑Fi; global streaming can use Ethernet, Wi‑Fi or USB‑C cellular. The supported protocols are SRT and RTMP. NTP synchronises the camera clock with a network server selected by the user, while FTP allows files to be downloaded from any drive connected to the camera.

Recording supports constant-bitrate Blackmagic RAW 3:1, 5:1, 8:1, 12:1, 18:1, Q0, Q1, Q3 and Q5, as well as H.264 1920 × 1080 8-bit 4:2:0. H.264 1920 × 1080 proxies can be recorded simultaneously. Compatible lens data, camera settings and slate information such as project, scene number, take and special notes can be stored in metadata.
