The celexon CEL-1000015605 is a digital cinch audio cable for connecting input and output devices equipped with a digital SPDIF connection. It carries stereo and multi-channel digital audio signals in an uncompressed, loss-free format through a coaxial SPDIF interface, meaning Sony/Philips Digital Interface.
PCM, or Pulse Code Modulation, also permits uncompressed transmission of analogue stereo signals. Digital electrical transmission requires 75 ohm impedance; ordinary analogue cinch cables use 50 ohm impedance and are therefore unsuitable, with dropouts possible particularly over longer cable runs. Extensive shielding reduces interference from mobile phones and other radio sources, while the compact diameter makes the cable flexible and easy to handle.
The Professional Line combines triple shielding, gold-plated contacts with high corrosion resistance, high-purity copper conductors and careful workmanship with an elegant design. The cable is suitable for home-office, entertainment and professional applications.
