Digital Cinch SPDIF audio cable - CELEXON CEL-1000015606

The celexon digital Cinch audio cable connects input and output equipment fitted with a digital SPDIF port and carries stereo as well as multi-channel audio signals reliably. Its coaxial SPDIF interface, or Sony/Philips Digital Interface, transfers audio without compression or signal loss. Digital PCM encoding, meaning Pulse Code Modulation, also permits uncompressed transmission of analogue stereo signals.

Standard analogue Cinch cables are unsuitable for these electrical digital signals because their impedance is 50 ohm, whereas digital transmission requires 75 ohm. This impedance difference can cause dropouts, particularly with longer cables. High shielding protects the connection from interference generated by mobile phones and other radio sources. The reduced diameter keeps the cable flexible and easy to handle.

This Professional Line version uses 3-fold shielding and gold-plated contacts for high corrosion resistance and reliable transmission performance. The Cinch SPDIF plug-to-plug connectors have gold-plated contacts, chrome-plated aluminium housings and flexible bend protection. The round black cable contains high-purity copper conductors, 3-fold shielding and a 5.5 mm PVC jacket, with a length of 3.0 m. Supported audio standards are Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio™, DVD Audio and SA-CD.
