Active HDMI 2.0b fibre optic cable - CELEXON CEL-1000004852

The celexon CEL-1000004852 is an active HDMI 2.0b fibre-optic cable intended for long signal paths where 100% reliable data transmission is required. A converter inside the transmitter takes the source's electrical HDMI signal, changes it into light pulses and sends them through the optical fibre to the receiver, where they are changed back into an electrical HDMI signal. Optical transmission removes the issue of external interference caused by electromagnetic fields.

The cable has the same dimensions as a conventional HDMI cable, with extra size only at the connector, while the conversion technology is fully built into the plugs. It supports HDMI 2.0b at 18.2 Gbps and HDCP 2.2, handling image resolutions up to 4K-UHD, equivalent to 4 times Full HD resolution, at 60 Hz. The maximum colour depth is 16 bits, with 8-bit 4:4:4 colour subsampling. Supported 4K 60 Hz modes include 4:2:0 at 8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit and 16-bit, 4:2:2 at 12-bit, and 4:4:4 at 8-bit; HFR 3D compatibility extends up to 1080p.

The cable also handles HDR, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), up to 32 audio channels for an immersive audio experience, audio frequencies up to 1536 kHz, the 21:9 format, CEC commands and Audio Return Channel (ARC). Its 24K gold-plated HDMI connector helps prevent contact oxidation and maintains optimal transmission, while the cable also has gold-plated sockets. The high-quality connector helps stop small movements and disconnections at the HDMI interface.

Wiring is flexible beyond 90° with a 30 mm bend radius and is easy to carry out. No additional power supply is needed, and the cable is ATC certified. It is 30 m long, with 1 HDMI input and 1 HDMI output; the listed colour is white and the weight is 0.84 kg.
