The celexon HDMI cable with Ethernet complies with HDMI 2.0 and is designed for signals of up to 18 Gbps. It supports 4K resolutions up to 4096x2160p at 60 Hz with 8-bit colour depth, as well as 4K HDR at 10-bit colour depth. HDR, or High Dynamic Range, allows a wider dynamic and colour range to be displayed, resulting in a brighter and more detailed picture.

Official HDMI specifications state a bandwidth of up to 18 Gbps for cable lengths of up to 5 m. With a direct connection between transmitter and receiver, celexon tests demonstrated transmission of the complete 18 Gbps bandwidth even with 7.5 m and 10 m cables. For reliable transmission of 4K HDR images at 10-bit colour depth, equal to 3840 x 2160 pixels at 60 hertz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, the manufacturer recommends active or optical HDMI cables from 7.5 m.

The integrated Ethernet channel connects Internet-capable AV components to the network using only the HDMI cable. When the television is connected to the network by cable, an AV receiver or Blu-Ray player can receive both the video signal and the network connection through HDMI. A network switch and additional cables are therefore not required.

The cable has two HDMI-A male connectors. It is specified as High Speed HDMI with Ethernet and is HDMI 2.0 compliant. The transmission rate reaches 18 Gbps; maximum resolution is 4K / Ultra HD / 4096x2160p at 60 Hz, 8 Bit, 4:4:4, or HDR at 10 Bit. Available colour spaces are 16/24 bit RGB/YUV, Deep Color and x.v.Color™. Supported audio standards include ARC, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio™, DVD Audio and SA-CD. Additional features are HEC (HDMI Ethernet Channel), CEC (Consumer Electronic Control), 3D, HDCP and EDID.

The connectors have gold-plated contacts, a chrome-plated aluminium housing and flexible bend protection. The cable uses high-purity copper conductors, 3-fold shielding and a PVC sheath with a diameter of 7.3 mm. It is black, round and 2.0 m long. Weight is 0.152 kg and net product weight is 0.146 kg; product dimensions are 1.4 cm in height, 2.3 cm in width and 200 cm in depth. It has 1 HDMI input and 1 HDMI output. The cable is REACH and RoHs compliant.
