The celexon HDMI cable with Ethernet is HDMI 2.0 compatible and transmits signals at up to 18 Gbps. It handles resolutions up to 4K, namely 4096x2160p at 60 Hz with 8-bit colour depth, as well as 4K HDR with 10-bit colour depth. HDR, or High Dynamic Range, provides a wider dynamic and colour range, making the picture brighter and more detailed.

According to the official HDMI specifications, the Professional series supports a maximum bandwidth of 18 Gbps with cable lengths up to 5 m. In celexon tests, a direct connection between transmitter and receiver maintained the complete 18 Gbps bandwidth even at 7.5 m and 10 m. For a secure full-bandwidth connection required for 4K HDR images with 10-bit colour depth, 3840 x 2160 pixels at 60 hertz and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, celexon recommends active or optical HDMI cables from 7.5 m.

The additional Ethernet channel connects Internet-capable AV components to the home network through a single HDMI cable. An AV receiver or Blu-Ray player can therefore receive both the video and the network connection through the HDMI cable when the television is connected to the network by cable. This solution removes the need for a network switch and additional cables.
