The celexon cable connects one DisplayPort connector to another DisplayPort connector and complies with the DisplayPort specification version 1.2. It transmits data at up to 21.6 Gbps and supports resolutions up to 4K, Ultra HD or 4096 x 2160p at 60 Hz with 10-bit colour depth. 4:4:4 chroma subsampling preserves the brightness and image information during transmission. Supported colour spaces are 16/24-bit RGB/YUV, Deep Color and x.v.Color. The cable also supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, DVD Audio and SA-CD audio standards.

Multi-Stream Transport, MST, enables several monitors to be controlled through the computer's DisplayPort interface. One option is a daisy-chain arrangement, where multiple monitors are connected in sequence and can be switched on one after another. The alternative is to connect the monitors through an additional DisplayPort MST hub. The number of displays supported depends on the resolution of the individual screens; for example, 4 displays can be connected at Full HD resolution, 1920 x 1080p at 60 Hz.

In a daisy chain, every monitor except the last one must have a DisplayPort receiver and transmitter. This allows it to receive and send the video stream addressed to itself and to the other components in the chain. Once a monitor extracts the video and audio stream intended for it, the remaining stream is transmitted along the chain. Each monitor in the chain must therefore have all the required information. With the MST hub method, the hub divides the entire bandwidth of a DisplayPort output and can, for example, send 4 independent Full HD signals at 60 Hz. MST hubs distribute these video signals, including audio, to the connected monitors and also allow displays with different inputs to be used.

The black Professional Line cable has gold-plated contacts for high corrosion resistance and reliable signal transmission. Its connector features a chrome-plated aluminium housing and flexible twist protection; the cable uses pure copper conductors, triple shielding and a PVC jacket. It is round, 7.3 mm in diameter and 1.5 m long. In addition to MST, 3D, HDCP and EDID, the series combines reliability, careful workmanship and elegant design. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
