The celexon DVI Dual Link cable carries signals up to 2K resolution, namely 2560 x 1600p at 60 Hz with 10-bit colour depth. Its 4:4:4 chroma subsampling transfers the brightness and image information with full detail. The higher resolution is made possible by the Dual Link method, whereas DVI Single Link supports only up to Full HD, meaning 1920 x 1080p at 60 Hz.

Video data is sent through TMDS across 4 data lines. In Dual Link operation, the data is shared between two TMDS transmitters; the clock frequency is doubled to 330 MHz, allowing resolutions up to 2560 x 1600p at 60 Hertz. Two screws on the connectors secure the plugs firmly to the device sockets and help prevent accidental removal.
