The celexon UHD Optical Fibre HDMI cable complies with HDMI 2.1 and carries signals at up to 48 Gbps. It supports resolutions up to 8K, namely 7680x4320p @ 60 Hz with up to 12 bit colour depth, and up to 4K, namely 4096x2160p @ 120 Hz with up to 12 bit colour depth. Its hybrid construction combines 4 glass fibres with 8 copper wires, enabling reliable high-data-rate transmission even over very long distances.

Inside the “Source” connector, the electrical signal is changed into light pulses. These travel through the glass fibres to the “Display” connector, where they are converted back into an electrical signal. The cable is therefore directional and its installation orientation must be observed. With a diameter of 5.5 mm, a maximum bending radius of 30 mm and 10 circuits running along the complete cable, it remains highly flexible during installation. The slim connector fits into difficult-to-access positions and does not obstruct nearby ports.

Dynamic HDR (High Dynamic Range) processes such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+ provide a wider colour and dynamic range. Image optimisation is adjusted individually for every picture, so fast colour transitions between strong contrasts, for example a change from white to black, appear more natural.*

Enhanced Audio Return Channel, or eARC, is the new generation of ARC included in the HDMI 2.1 specification. It carries up to 32 audio channels with uncompressed 24-bit/192 kHz data streams at up to 38 Mbps. The increased bandwidth and speed allow formats including Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to be transmitted without compression.*

Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) is especially relevant for gaming. By removing advanced video processing, it reduces delays and provides fast display response. Operation requires an ALLM-compatible monitor and source devices able to provide a high-quality video signal that the display can reproduce immediately. Connected ALLM-capable devices automatically select the suitable low-latency mode through a handshake. Even when an AV receiver is connected in the chain, no additional settings are required.*

Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) synchronises the refresh rate of the source device with that of the output device, helping to prevent judder and tearing. The refresh rate can range from 30 to 144 Hz. A controller keystroke can therefore be followed directly by the picture response, supporting a more precise gaming experience.* An additional Ethernet channel connects internet-compatible AV components to the home network through a single HDMI cable.
