HDMI 2.1 UHD 8K/4K 48Gbps directional optical fibre cable - CELEXON CEL-1000017829

The celexon UHD Optical Fibre HDMI cable complies with HDMI 2.1 and supports signal rates of up to 48 Gbps. It handles resolutions up to 8K, namely 7680x4320p @ 60 Hz with up to 12 bit colour depth, and up to 4K, namely 4096x2160p @ 120 Hz with up to 12 bit colour depth. The hybrid design contains 4 glass fibres and 8 copper wires, allowing high data rates to be transmitted reliably over very long distances.

The electrical signal is converted into light pulses in the “Source” connector, travels through the glass fibres and becomes an electrical signal again in the “Display” connector. Correct cable direction must therefore be followed during installation. The 5.5 mm diameter, maximum 30 mm bending radius and 10 circuits running across the entire cable provide flexibility for cabling. The narrow connector can be used in restricted-access positions and does not cover neighbouring ports.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) technologies including Dolby Vision and HDR10+ provide a wider colour and dynamic range. Picture optimisation is tailored to each individual image, making rapid colour changes between high contrasts, such as a transition from white to black, look more natural.*

Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), the new generation of ARC included in the HDMI 2.1 specification, supports up to 32 audio channels with uncompressed 24-bit/192 kHz data streams at a maximum of 38 Mbps. The increased bandwidth allows Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to be transmitted without compression.*

Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) is particularly useful for gaming. It removes advanced video processing to reduce delay and provide fast response times. The function requires an ALLM-compatible monitor and source devices capable of supplying a high-quality video signal that the display can reproduce immediately.

Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) synchronises the refresh rate of the source with that of the output device, helping to avoid judder and tearing. The refresh rate can range from 30 to 144 Hz and supports sharp images, including during gaming.* An additional Ethernet channel connects internet-compatible AV components to the home network through a single HDMI cable.
