HDMI 2.1 fibre optic cable UHD 8K/4K 48Gbps directional - CELEXON CEL-1000017831

The celexon UHD Optical Fibre HDMI cable follows the HDMI 2.1 specification and transmits signals at up to 48 Gbps. It supports images up to 8K at 7680x4320p @ 60 Hz with up to 12 bit colour depth, or up to 4K at 4096x2160p @ 120 Hz with up to 12 bit colour depth. Its hybrid design combines 4 glass fibres with 8 copper wires for transmission across long distances.

In the “Source” connector, the electrical signal is converted into light pulses. The glass fibres carry it to the “Display” connector, where it is converted back into an electrical signal. The cable is directional, so its orientation must be checked during installation. It has a 5.5 mm diameter, a maximum bending radius of 30 mm and 10 circuits running along its full length, supporting flexible cable routing. The compact connector fits into hard-to-reach areas and leaves nearby ports unobstructed.

HDR (High Dynamic Range), including Dolby Vision and HDR10+, expands the available colour and dynamic range. Picture adjustment is applied to each individual image, making rapid colour changes between strong contrasts, such as a transition from white to black, more natural.*

eARC, the enhanced Audio Return Channel and new generation of ARC included in the HDMI 2.1 specification, supports up to 32 audio channels with uncompressed 24-bit/192 kHz data streams at up to 38 Mbps. The increased bandwidth allows Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to be transmitted without compression.*

Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) removes advanced video processing to reduce delays and provide fast response, making it particularly useful for gaming. Use requires an ALLM-compatible monitor and source devices able to provide a high-quality video signal ready for playback on the display.

The HDMI 2.1 specification also includes VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), which synchronises the refresh rate of the source device with that of the output device. The rate can range from 30 to 144 Hz, helping to maintain sharp images and prevent screen tearing, for example during gaming.* An additional Ethernet channel connects internet-compatible AV components to the home network using a single HDMI cable.
