The celexon UHD cable uses HDMI 2.1 technology and carries data at up to 48 Gbps. It supports images up to 8K, with a resolution of 7680x4320p at 60 Hz and colour depth of up to 12 bit, as well as up to 4K, with 4096x2160p at 120 Hz and colour depth of up to 12 bit.

Its hybrid construction combines 4 glass fibres with 8 copper wires, allowing high data rates to be transferred over very long distances with interference-free signal transmission. At the connector marked Source, the electrical signal is changed into light pulses. These pulses travel through the glass fibres to the connector marked Display, where they are converted back into an electrical signal. The cable direction must therefore be observed carefully during installation.

The cable has a diameter of 5.5 mm, a maximum bending radius of 30 mm and 10 circuits running along its entire length. This construction provides a high degree of flexibility during routing. Its narrow, slim connector can also be fitted in places that are difficult to access and does not conceal nearby interfaces or ports when connected.

Dynamic HDR functions, including Dolby Vision and HDR10+, provide a wider dynamic and colour range. Image optimisation is adjusted for each individual picture, so rapid colour changes between strong contrasts, such as a transition from white to black, appear more natural.

Enhanced Audio Return Channel, or eARC, is the next generation of ARC and forms part of the HDMI 2.1 specification. It can carry up to 32 audio channels with uncompressed 24-bit/192 kHz data streams at a maximum rate of 38 Mbps. The increased bandwidth and speed allow formats such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to be transmitted without compression.

Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) is particularly useful for gaming. By removing advanced video processing, it reduces delays and enables the display to respond as quickly as possible. Operation requires an ALLM-compatible monitor or TV and source devices able to provide a high-quality video signal that the display can reproduce immediately. Compatible devices automatically select the mode with the shortest latency through a handshake, and no additional settings are required when an AV receiver is connected in the signal path. The delay between pressing a controller button and seeing the corresponding reaction in the image is therefore reduced.

Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) synchronises the refresh rate of the source device with that of the output device, helping to prevent judder and tearing. The refresh rate can range from 30 to 144 Hz, maintaining clear images during gaming. An additional Ethernet channel also allows Internet-compatible AV components to be connected to the home network through a single HDMI cable.
