The celexon UHD cable uses the HDMI 2.1 specification and handles bandwidths of up to 48 Gbps. It supports resolutions up to 8K, namely 7680 x 4320p at 60 Hz with colour depth of up to 12 bit, and up to 4K, namely 4096 x 2160p at 120 Hz with colour depth of up to 12 bit.

Its hybrid construction combines 4 glass fibres with 8 copper wires, allowing effective signal transfer over long distances. The electrical signal entering the source connector is changed into an optical signal, carried through the glass fibres to the display connector, and converted back to electrical form. The cable direction must therefore be observed during installation.

With a diameter of only 5.5 mm, a maximum bending radius of 30 mm and 10 circuits running along the complete cable, it remains highly flexible during wiring. The slim connector can be fitted in hard-to-reach locations and does not cover interfaces positioned close to it.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, including Dolby Vision and HDR10+, expands the available colour and dynamic range. Processing is adapted to each individual image, making fast transitions between strong contrasts, such as a change from white to black, appear more natural.

The HDMI 2.1 specification includes the improved eARC audio return channel. This ARC generation can carry up to 32 audio channels with uncompressed 24-bit / 192 kHz data streams at a maximum rate of 38 Mbps. The higher bandwidth and speed support uncompressed transmission of Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) is especially useful for gaming: by removing advanced video processing, it reduces delays and provides fast response times. Use of this function requires an ALLM-compatible monitor and source devices able to send a high-quality video signal for immediate playback on the display.

Variable Refresh Rate, or VRR, synchronises the image refresh rate of the source device with that of the playback device. The rate can range from 30 to 144 Hz, adapting the image for sharp results and helping prevent screen tearing, for example during gaming. An additional Ethernet channel connects Internet-capable AV components to the home network through a single HDMI cable. The TV only needs a wired network connection; the AV receiver or Blu-ray player then receives both the video signal and the network through HDMI. This avoids a network switch and extra cables.
