The celexon CEL-1000015533 is an active HDMI cable with Ethernet from the Professional Line. It complies with HDMI 2.0 and carries signals at up to 18 Gbps, supporting resolutions up to 4K, namely 4096x2160p at 60 Hz with 8-bit colour depth, as well as 4K HDR at 10-bit colour depth. HDR (High Dynamic Range) makes a wider dynamic and colour range available, producing a brighter, more detailed picture. The cable is available in lengths up to 20 m.

Powerful signal amplifiers are built into the connectors, distinguishing this cable from standard HDMI cables with Ethernet. As cable length increases, line resistance and attenuation also rise, reducing signal quality. This is especially critical at high data rates: without amplification, the signal at the far end may become too weak for clean display, causing digital picture artefacts or a complete loss of the picture and data connection. A dedicated chip boosts the signal by 6 Gbps on each TMDS transmission line, enabling loss-free transmission over longer distances.

The extra Ethernet channel connects Internet-capable AV components to the home network using only an HDMI cable. Once the television is connected to the network by cable, an AV receiver or Blu-Ray player receives both the video signal and network access through HDMI.
