LEM Commercial AVCore 8.8 combines high-performance audio DSP, 4K video switching, USB-C AV capture and centralised room management in a compact 19-inch 1U rack-mount unit. It is designed as an automated audio/video control centre rather than a simple conference audio matrix with automix, managing shots, priorities, presets and transitions in synchronisation with the speaker.

The unit provides seamless 4 x 1 + 1 HDMI switching, a USB 3.0 hub, USB Type-C AV capture and DSP functions including HP and LP filters, EQ, AGC, compressors, feedback suppressors, limiter, delay and multi-level automix. Its 9 total input channels comprise 8 analogue channels and 1 USB soundcard channel; the 9 output channels comprise 8 analogue channels and 1 USB soundcard channel. This architecture handles complex conference rooms with microphones, loudspeakers, UC systems and different types of AV equipment.

Automatic video direction uses programmable presets to frame the speaker, change cameras according to audio automix priority, activate Picture-in-Picture when two people speak simultaneously and manage video direction independently for local monitors and remote conference participants using Zoom, Teams and other systems named in the source. The native link between audio automix and video switching coordinates the system behaviour so that the speaker is framed and the person taking part can take centre stage.

The Windows-based DSP Controller software configures routing, DSP modules, RS-232/RS-485 management, presets, custom panels and advanced security. The 16 preset slots store complex configurations for instant recall. Custom UI lets integrators create dedicated interfaces for technicians and end users while restricting access to authorised functions. AVCore 8.8 therefore combines a professional audio processor and an HDMI matrix, supports up to 8 analogue audio inputs and 8 analogue audio outputs, and includes AEC, Feedback Suppression and Auto-mixer algorithms to remove echo, noise and feedback during multi-participant interaction. The integrated seamless HDMI matrix handles different video signals and enables smooth switching between multiple sources while maintaining uninterrupted high-resolution output. ATS automixing technology also communicates with the cameras’ auto-tracking module.
