LEM Commercial AVCore 8.8ae combines high-performance audio DSP, 4K video switching, USB-C AV capture and centralised room management in a compact 19-inch 1U rack-mount unit. It is designed as an automated audio/video control centre that coordinates shots, priorities, presets and transitions with the speaker’s intervention, extending beyond the functions of a simple conference audio matrix with automix.

Processing includes seamless 4 x 1 + 1 HDMI switching, a USB 3.0 hub, USB Type-C AV capture, HP and LP filters, EQ, AGC, compressors, feedback suppressors, limiter, delay and multi-level automix. The model provides 25 input channels in total: 16 AES67 channels, 8 analogue channels and 1 USB soundcard channel. It also provides 25 output channels: 16 AES67 channels, 8 analogue channels and 1 USB soundcard channel. This allows complex conference rooms to be managed with microphones, loudspeakers, UC systems and AV devices of all kinds.

Through programmable presets, automatic video direction can frame the speaker, change cameras according to audio automix priority, activate Picture-in-Picture when two people speak simultaneously and manage local monitors and remote participants using Zoom, Teams and other systems named in the source independently. Native integration between audio automix and video switching coordinates shots and interventions automatically.

The Windows-based DSP Controller software provides routing, DSP module, RS-232/RS-485, preset, custom-panel and advanced-security configuration. The 16 preset slots save complex configurations for instant recall. Custom UI allows integrators to create interfaces tailored to technicians and end users while restricting access to authorised functions. AVCore 8.8ae therefore combines a professional audio processor and an HDMI matrix, supports up to 8 analogue audio inputs and 8 analogue audio outputs, and supports up to 16 AES67 digital audio inputs and 16 AES67 digital audio outputs. AEC, Feedback Suppression and Auto-mixer algorithms address echo, noise and feedback in multi-participant interaction. The seamless HDMI matrix handles multiple video signal types and enables smooth source switching, while ATS automixing technology communicates with the cameras’ auto-tracking module.
