Passive bass-reflex subwoofer 18" 1800W - HARMONIC DESIGN HDE-60026

Harmonic Design hd Sub18 is a compact, powerful and easy-to-transport passive subwoofer with bass-reflex tuning. Its specially designed 18" woofer uses a 5" voice coil and provides ±15 mm linear excursion. Ventilation at the magnetic pole core dissipates voice-coil heat efficiently, enabling 1800 WRMS and 7200 W peak power handling. Reduced heat generation improves reliability and lowers thermal stress on the voice coil, producing excellent dynamics and dry, controlled bass at high sound pressure.

There is no internal passive crossover, so frequency cutting must be handled by the Harmonic Design system power amplifiers or an external electronic crossover. Up to 160 Hz with a 24 dB/oct slope, it provides effective transitions between subwoofer and satellite. The high-quality plywood cabinet has a finely textured polyurea finish resistant to scratches, impacts and weather. Two ergonomic top handles simplify handling, while threaded points allow SilentWheels hd to be fitted: special 100 mm acoustically decoupled wheels. The upper M20 threaded insert permits a pole to be installed for another loudspeaker.

An installation version without handles and with M20 thread is also available. The unit can be used as a slave subwoofer alongside the active hd P18 stereo subwoofer or with all Harmonic Design system power amplifiers, ensuring reliable and accurate low-frequency reproduction. This model also includes a rigging frame for mounting in a line array configuration.
