Flame effects machine Salamander - LE MAITRE LEM-4000

Le Maitre Salamander is a flame effects machine designed to create columns of fire or bursts in rapid sequences. Its compact dimensions of 20.4 × 17 × 43.3 cm and 8 kg weight make it easy to couple several units, with configurations of up to 4 pieces. This produces natural or coloured flames from 4 to 6 m high, delivering a strong visual impact.

The system removes the need for external propane tanks, drag lines and multiple valves. Cartridge-based fuel provides a way to create a propane-style flame while avoiding the associated discomfort for the audience. One fuel canister supplies up to 30 s of continuous flame or up to 50 short bursts; available colours are natural, red and green.

Safety is also improved by removing internal valves and accumulators, reducing the possibility of system blockage or dangerous fuel leaks. Salamander can therefore use fuel supplied in practical coloured cans. Safe ethanol / methanol containers also make it suitable for places and environments where propane / butane are prohibited.

Control is provided through 2 individually driven DMX channels. The machine requires a 230 VAC 50/60 Hz supply and consumes 250 W. Built-in safety functions include a tilt sensor and igniter monitoring. It also provides on-board DMX-512 support, simple canister-based setup, and a propane-style flame from 4 m with one unit to 6 m with 4 units, plus up to 30 s of continuous flame or 50 flame balls.
