MODE FACTOR

The MODE FACTOR, i.e. the way a roundsling is used, should always be considered when calculating rigging capacities. For this reason and owing to their susceptibility to shear, roundslings have a cofficient of 7 (EN 1492-2). Do not tie or connect roundslings to each other since this reduces their actual capacity in an uncontrollable way.

		WLL* capacity of a roundsling
		1000 kg	2000 kg
Direct tension	1.0	1000	2000
Choke	0.8	800	1600
Up to 7°	2.0	2000	4000
Over 7° up to 45°	1.4	1400	2800
Over 45° up to 60°	1.0	1000	2000
Over 7° up to 45°	0.7	700	1400
Over 45° up to 60°	0.5	500	1000
