The MUSICCUBE MA60 III is a portable, multifunctional active PA loudspeaker created to deliver high-quality sound from a compact, lightweight enclosure. Weighing 5.1 kg, it is the world’s first musical instrument amplifier based on psychoacoustic technology: its DSP processor models the timbre and helps restore the natural character of vocals and musical instruments.

Its updated tone-modelling system provides four selectable modes on channel 1: vocal, broadcast, guitar and instrument input. One mode can reproduce the characteristic tone of a condenser microphone even when a standard microphone is connected, using the integrated tone-modelling technology. This is especially useful for vocal and instrument reproduction.

The design combines a compact format with rich, deep bass through passive-diaphragm technology. The passive diaphragm resonates together with the main driver, enabling smaller speakers to deliver a fuller low-frequency effect and substantially improving audio performance.

Output power is 120 W (60 + 60 W). The Class-D amplifier stages drive two high-efficiency full-range loudspeakers, each fitted with a 5¼" NdFeB magnet. The two neodymium drivers can operate exclusively from battery power, so the unit remains completely autonomous without an external power source.

A universal composite interface provides two combo inputs. Each channel includes an instrument preamp and a microphone preamp, freely selectable to suit the application, together with independent equalisation control. A 48 V Phantom power switch is also provided for condenser microphones. The two independent channels support microphones, including condenser microphones, guitars and other musical instruments.

DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology can process and alter the sound to achieve the required result. Six peripheral effects are built in and added to the main audio signal: Reverb 1, Reverb 2, Delay, Echo, Chorus and Flanger. They can be used with both microphones and musical instruments. Each channel also features a gain display and an independent sound-card output.

The Wireless Ear Return function is intended for wireless in-ear monitoring during live performances. It enables artists to receive direct audio feedback through wireless earphones. The battery is built in, and the MA60III soft bag is included.
