Class-H power amplifier 2x850W/4Ω stereo/bridge - HPA MSC-HPAAM1700

The HPA AM-1700 is a 2-channel Class-H power amplifier intended for intensive work in installation applications. In stereo operation it delivers 2 x 500 WRMS into 8 ohms or 2 x 850 WRMS into 4 ohms. A switch selects mono bridged operation, where the available output is 1700 WRMS into 8 ohms. Stereo and bridge modes allow the unit to be configured for different audio systems and applications.

A damping factor of more than 500 gives the amplifier strong control over the loudspeakers and supports accurate reproduction with no distortion. Input sensitivity can be set to 0.775 V, 1 V, or 2 V, accommodating different audio-source levels. Input impedance is 20 kohms in balanced operation and 10 kohms in unbalanced operation. XLR inputs and speakON outputs provide secure connections to other professional audio equipment.

Electronic, thermal, and electrical protection support safe, continuous operation under even the most difficult conditions. Fan cooling and soft start are also included among the technical features. The signal-to-noise ratio is 102 dB, and THD is 0.1% at 1 kHz. These figures correspond to little background noise and little distortion when the output level is high.

Frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±1.5 dB, preserving fidelity throughout the audio spectrum, from deep bass to crystal-clear highs. The amplifier measures 482 x 88 x 350 mm and has a net weight of 11 kg.
