The MAC MAH W-UHF Bodypack combines a headset microphone with a belt bodypack transmitter using DQPSK modulation. It can be paired with a Mac Mah W-UHF 100 or 200M receiver, sold separately, to capture audio for interviews, television programmes, news broadcasts and other audio recording and broadcasting applications.

The portable transmitter provides 16 channels divided into 2 groups and 16 x 2 selectable frequencies. Its easy-to-read LCD display shows frequency and battery level. Frequency selection, infrared pairing, a mute function and a 3.5 mm mini-jack microphone input are available. The dynamic capsule has a cardioid polar pattern and maximum RF power is 30 mW.

The frequency range is 660-690 MHz, frequency response is 100 Hz-16 kHz and average battery life is 6 to 10 hours. The stated average distance is 50-80 m, while the operating range is over 50 m. Power requires 2 included 1.5 V AA batteries, and weight is approximately 100 g.
