Mono Jack 6,3 mm inline connector, PX series - NEUTRIK NEU-NP2X-B

The NEUTRIK NP2X-B is a 2-pole male professional 6.3 mm, or 1/4-inch, phone plug with a compact, robust metal body and black finish. Its contacts have 0.2 µm gold plating, while the cable grip uses Neutrik's proven chuck-type strain relief for dependable cable retention. The slim shell is 14.5 mm wide, allowing high packing density in jackfields with a 15.88 mm jack pitch. A precision-machined one-piece tip contact, made without rivets, prevents the tip from catching inside a socket or breaking off.

The Plug X series develops the design of the earlier C series with an extra-slim A-gauge 1/4-inch plug for guitar applications, audio cables, snakes, loudspeakers, amplifiers and mixing desks. Its die-cast zinc shell combines robustness with a sleek design for convenient handling. The connection type is Plug and the gender is male; electrical contact resistance and rated current per contact depend on the mating connector. Dielectric strength is 1 kV DC, initial insulation resistance is greater than 2 GΩ and rated voltage is below 50 V.

The connector accepts cables with an outer diameter of 4–7 mm, supports 1 mm² and 18 AWG wire sizes, uses solder contacts and is rated for more than 1000 mating cycles. The bushing is Polyacetal (POM) + PU, contacts are Brass (CuZn39Pb3), the insert is Polyamide (PA 6.6 30% GR), the shell is Zinc diecast (ZnAl4Cu1) with Black chromium plating, and the strain relief is Polyacetal (POM). It complies with IEC 60603-11 and EIA RS-453; solderability complies with IEC 68-2-20, and the temperature range is -20 °C to +65 °C.
