The NEUTRIK NL2FXX-W-S is a 2-pole speakON cable connector for audio cables and loudspeaker connections in professional environments. Screw-type terminals secure the conductors, while the twist-lock mechanism creates a stable and secure mating connection. It mates with both 2-pole and 4-pole chassis connectors through contacts +1/-1 and supports a rated current of up to 37 ARMS. The connector accepts cables with a 6–12 mm outer diameter and is intended for high-power audio systems. Its solid, durable construction uses copper-alloy contacts, a polyamide insert and a zinc die-cast locking element. The two-component moulded housing has a slip-proof finish, while the unique Neutrik locking bushing and strain relief are designed for the 6–12 mm cable range.

Very low contact resistance, high insulation resistance and a typical lifetime of approximately 5000 mating cycles support dependable operation. Assembly is straightforward because the strain relief locks mechanically with the insert and aligns with the housing. The two-component bushing improves kink protection. The twist-lock system is simple and reliable, and the connector follows the superior NEUTRIK quality standard, with an extremely robust and reliable construction. IEC 61984 certification means it is accepted as an equipment component according to IEC 62368-1. This connector must not be used as an AC mains or power-supply connector and is not intended for interrupting current.

The connector series is speakON 2-pole. Contact resistance is ≤ 2 mΩ, dielectric strength is 2.8 kV AC and initial insulation resistance is > 10 GΩ. The number of electrical contacts is 2; the European rating according to IEC 61984 is 37 A / 250 V AC. Cable outer diameter is 6–12 mm, typical lifetime is 5000 mating cycles, metric wire size is 1.5–4 mm² and wire size is 17–11 AWG. The locking device is a twist lock and termination uses screw-type terminals. Contact plating is silver Ag and the contacts are copper alloy. The insert is polyamide PA6.6, the locking element is zinc die-cast, the shell is polyamide PA6 / TPE, strain relief is polyketone and the bushing is polypropylene / TPE. The temperature range is -33 to 80 °C, protection class is IP20 and UL94 flammability is V-0.
