Panel-mount speakON connector, D-size flange - Neutrik NL4MPXX

The Neutrik NL4MPXX is a 4-pole speakON chassis connector with a black D-size flange, countersunk through holes and 3/16″ flat tabs. It is the standard chassis connector for loudspeaker and amplifier interconnections. Its unique metal locking system makes electrical contact only once the connector is fully locked. The speakON receptacle is robust, versatile and easy to terminate, with a precise keyway for secure mating.

The component is certified according to IEC 61984 and fully compliant with IEC 62368-1. Glass-reinforced V-0 materials make it extremely robust and dependable. The accurate twist-lock latching system provides secure engagement, while the metal insert in the locking area reinforces the connection. The airtight design is optimised for speaker applications. Attention: speakON must not be used as an AC mains or power supply connector.

Contact resistance is ≤ 2 mΩ, dielectric strength is 2.8 kV AC, insulation resistance is > 0.1 GΩ after damp heat, rated current per contact is 25 A RMS continuous and the audio rating is significantly higher depending on the signal. Rated voltage is 250 V AC. Lifetime is > 5000 mating cycles.

Termination uses 3/16″ flat tabs, for example NLFASTON. The locking device is Quick Lock, the chassis shape is D and the layout follows the standard hole position with through holes. Contact plating is Ag; the locking element is stainless steel, the shell is polyamide PA 6.6 and the contacts are copper alloy. Flammability is UL94 V-0 and the temperature range is -30 °C to +80 °C.
