The EP4T fibre extender is a fibre optic transmitter that uses advanced technology to send audio and video over long distances without quality loss, overcoming length limits and signal degradation. Fibre optic transmission resists electromagnetic interference and keeps the signal stable even in difficult electromagnetic environments.

The EP4T transmitter can operate stand-alone—for example combined with a NovaStar LED processor—or used with the EP4R receiver, or integrated with all Novastar devices equipped with fibre optic input and output.

Typical applications are wide-ranging. In architectural installations, such as a building façade lit by a pair of video projectors, two uncompressed 4K video signals must reach the projectors from a distant source; fibre transmission guarantees quality and reliability. On university campuses, when a pair of uncompressed 4K signals must move from one point to another, EP4 extenders overcome the limits of traditional connections. For live events and video control rooms, when the control room is far from the stage, fibre sends the signal to stage monitors or other devices with maximum quality and stability.

Thanks to 8 / 10-bit lossless compression, video quality stays optimal with clear, detailed images. The compact design and Plug & Play installation simplify configuration and allow easy, immediate signal extension. The transmitter includes 4 EOLP-8596-02-I multi-mode modules with a maximum transmission distance of 300 km.
