BEYOND is laser design software developed for lighting professionals, used to build laser shows and effects of the very highest quality. It is intended for professional laser lighting in entertainment: live concerts, television shows and productions, music festivals, discos, DJs, clubs, bars, private events, and for service and rental companies.

The software handles every lighting protocol, including DMX, Art-Net, MIDI, SMPTE Time Code, OSC and CITP, so fitting lasers into any multimedia show or project is easier than ever. BEYOND supplies a complete suite of tools for creating any laser display you can imagine, and then lets you run your content the way you prefer: from a lighting console, from a PC, via Time Code, from a MIDI device, or together with other multimedia elements.

BEYOND comes in three versions (Essentials, Advanced and Ultimate), and Pangolin also provides a convenient upgrade path across the three. The BEYOND Ultimate software licence can be purchased to run on any Pangolin hardware device, including FB3QS, FB4, QM2000 and FB3SE hardware. This product is licensed for existing FB3, FB4 or QM2000 hardware.

Main features

Advanced LIVE control. The live control engine in BEYOND is among the most powerful in the world, with real-time adjustment of position, rotation, size, colour, scan rate and effects. The Live Control system lets you act on single cues, on groups or on the whole show, using dedicated objects such as Cue, Master, Zone and ProTrack for extremely precise control.

Full compatibility with lighting control protocols. BEYOND talks to a wide range of professional devices and protocols, including Art-Net, DMX, sACN, SMPTE, MIDI, CITP, OSC, ILDA and Ableton Link. This gives smooth integration into any lighting or multimedia setup.

Professional multimedia timeline. The multimedia timeline brings lasers, video, audio, DMX lighting and other stage elements together in one intuitive interface. It supports multi-layer editing, frame-accurate synchronisation and advanced layer management, which makes it ideal for complex shows and complete multimedia productions.

Advanced design tools. The software integrates more than 20 professional editors for building laser content from scratch: graphics editors, timelines, effects, 3D, animations, and tools similar to Photoshop and Premiere, all built into the program.

Advanced colour correction and calibration. Dedicated tools let you balance and optimise the true colours of laser projectors, compensate for differences between diodes, and obtain uniform, consistent palettes whatever the conditions of use.

PangoScript. total automation. PangoScript lets you program any software function through custom commands. You can map MIDI controllers, DMX devices or entire lighting consoles, defining how each button, slider or encoder behaves.

BEYOND universe: customisable workspaces. The working environments of the software can be customised.
