PTZ Link 4K 20x auto tracking grey camera - PTZOPTICS POP-PT20X-LINK-4K-GY

PTZOptics POP-PT20X-LINK-4K-GY is a grey PTZ camera built around a 1/1.8" Sony CMOS sensor with 8.42 effective Mpixels. It records up to 4K UHD at 60 fps or 1080p at 60 fps through SDI. The 3D noise-reduction system supports performance in low-light environments. Its 20x optical zoom has an F1.58-F3.95 aperture range, a 6.25-125 mm focal length and a 31-589 mm equivalent focal length in 35 mm format.

The horizontal field of view extends from 3.5° at telephoto to 60.7° at wide angle, while the vertical field of view runs from 1.9° to 34.1°. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lx at F1.8 with AGC ON, and the shutter range is 1/30 s to 1/10,000 s. Video image flip, mirror and freeze functions are also supported.

Automatic tracking follows the framed subject without requiring a camera operator. Presenter Lock can hold a specific person at distances of up to 76 m, even when other people are present in the frame. A button press also allows the operator to move between presenters on stage. The updated PTZOptics Web UI places auto-tracking management inside a straightforward menu system. Voice-Tracking is available in beta testing: beamforming algorithms identify the speaker’s voice and automatically control pan, tilt and zoom around the subject, regardless of the subject’s position in the room.

Available outputs include SDI, HDMI, USB and IP, and the camera also incorporates Dante AV-H. Routing, configuration and management of video and audio devices can therefore be handled from one platform, including complex Dante projects and workflows. Link 4K automatically follows the Dante system clock for accurate AV synchronisation and can natively send Dante AV-H video across the network alongside audio sources connected to the 3.5 mm audio input. It combines broadcast quality with straightforward Dante discovery, setup and device management for a more professional video-production installation.

The RJ45 interface is a 10/100/1000M adaptive Ethernet port with PoE+ support according to 802.3at. HD video connectivity includes 1 RJ45 port with 424M standard and 1 3G-SDI BNC output rated at 800 mV p-p and 75 ohm, according to the SMPTE 424M standard. The audio interface is 1 3.5 mm line-level input. The rear board additionally provides 1 HDMI version 2.0, 1 USB 2.0 Type-A port and 1 2-pin Phoenix port for RS485 input and output, with a maximum distance of 1200 m and VISCA/Pelco-D protocols.

Control connectivity includes 1 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 input and 1 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 output, each with a maximum distance of 30 m and VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-P protocols. The camera can be operated through OBS, Livestream Studio, Wirecast, vMix, mimoLive or Tricaster, or with a PTZOptics hardware joystick controller. Integration with Blackmagic switchers is also provided. Remote operation from anywhere in the world is possible through several tools, including Zoom and other cloud-based software. Direct live streaming to CDNs such as Facebook and Youtube is supported.

The supplied remote controller and the dedicated App provide remote control, while the Tally light indicates the operating status. Pan movement is ±170° at 1.7°-100°/s; tilt movement is +90° to -30° at 1.7°-69.9°/s. The camera stores 255 presets.

Power is supplied by 12 V DC or PoE+ 802.3at, with maximum input power of 18 W. The housing combines aluminium and plastic, the colour is grey and the working environment is indoor. Operating temperature is -10 to 40 °C and storage temperature is -40 to 60 °C. Dimensions are 141.5 x 151 x 176 mm, or 201 mm with tilt up, and weight is 1.47 kg. Several mounting options are available and the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.
