PTZOptics POP-PT20X-SE-GY-G3 is a grey PTZ camera using a 1/2.8" UHD Sony CMOS sensor with 2.07 effective Mpixels. It captures video up to 1080p at 60 fps. The sensor and 3D noise reduction system support operation in low-light conditions. The lens has a 20x optical zoom with an F1.8-F2.8 aperture range, a 4.42-88.5 mm focal length and a horizontal field of view from 3.4° at telephoto to 60.7° at wide angle; the vertical range is 1.9° to 34.1°.

Digital zoom is available up to 16x, with the following crop levels: off at 1920 x 1080, 2x at 960 x 540, 3x at 640 x 360, 4x at 480 x 270, 8x at 240 x 135 and 16x at 128 x 72 pixels. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lx at F1.8 with AGC ON, and shutter adjustment ranges from 1/30 s to 1/10,000 s. Video flip, mirror and freeze functions are supported.

Automatic tracking follows the framed subject without a camera operator. Presenter Lock can hold a person at up to 76 m, even when other people are in the image, and a command allows quick switching between presenters on stage. The updated PTZOptics Web UI places tracking management in a simple menu system. Outputs include SDI, HDMI, USB and IP.

Native NDI | HX3 distributes broadcast video through a low-latency IP infrastructure with a stable frame rate up to 4K resolution. The NDI | HX3 upgrade is obtained by purchasing a dedicated licence. The RJ45 interface is a 10/100/1000M adaptive Ethernet port supporting PoE+ according to 802.3at. HD video connectivity includes 1 RJ45 port with 424M standard and 1 3G-SDI BNC output rated at 800 mV p-p and 75 ohm, according to the SMPTE 424M standard. Audio is provided through 1 3.5 mm line-level input.

The rear board includes 1 HDMI version 1.3, 1 USB 3.0 Type-C port and 1 2-pin Phoenix port for RS485 input and output, with a maximum distance of 1200 m and VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-P protocols. There are also 1 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 input and 1 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 output, each with a maximum distance of 30 m and the same protocols. Pan movement is ±170° at 1.7°-100°/s, tilt movement is +90° to -30° at 1.7°-69.9°/s, and 255 presets are available.

Move SE PTZ cameras can be controlled with OBS, Livestream Studio, Wirecast, vMix, mimoLive and Tricaster, or through a hardware joystick controller from the same brand. Remote operation from anywhere in the world can use NDI Bridge, Zoom and other cloud-based tools. Direct live streaming to CDNs such as Facebook and Youtube is supported. The supplied remote controller and dedicated App provide remote control. Several mounting options are available and the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.

Power options are 12 V DC or PoE+ 802.3at, with a maximum input rating of 2 A. The housing combines aluminium and plastic, the colour is grey and the working environment is indoor. Operating temperature is -10 to 40 °C, storage temperature is -40 to 60 °C. Dimensions are 142 x 169 x 164 mm and weight is 1.445 kg.

Video modes include 1080p at 60, 50, 30, 25, 59.94 and 29.97 fps, plus 720p at 60 and 50 fps. Digital zoom also provides 2x, 3x, 4x, 8x and 16x levels with 960 x 540, 640 x 360, 480 x 270, 240 x 135 and 128 x 72 pixel crops. The power jack is JEITA type for 12 V DC input.
