PTZOptics POP-PT30X-4K-WH-G3 is a white PTZ camera with a 1/1.8" Sony CMOS sensor and 8.42 effective Mpixels. It captures up to 4K UHD at 60 fps or 1080p at 60 fps over SDI. The 3D noise-reduction system supports shooting in low-light conditions. Its 30x optical zoom has an F1.61-F5.19 aperture range, a 7.1-210 mm focal length and a 32-825 mm 35 mm equivalent.

Horizontal field of view ranges from 2.5° at telephoto to 59.2° at wide angle, while vertical field of view is 1.4° to 34.6°. Digital zoom reaches 16x and provides these levels: off at 3840 x 2160, 2x at 1920 x 1080, 3x at 1280 x 720, 4x at 960 x 540, 8x at 480 x 270 and 16x at 256 x 144 pixels. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lx at F1.8 with AGC ON, while shutter speed ranges from 1/30 s to 1/10,000 s. Video flip, mirror and freeze functions are also supported.

Automatic tracking follows the subject without requiring an operator. Presenter Lock can lock onto a specific person at up to 91 m, even when other people are in the frame, and the integrated tracking function allows switching between presenters on stage with a button press. The updated PTZOptics Web UI manages these functions through a menu system. Available outputs are SDI, HDMI, USB and IP.

Native NDI | HX3 distributes broadcast video across a low-latency IP network with a stable frame rate up to 4K resolution. The RJ45 interface is a 10/100/1000M adaptive Ethernet port supporting PoE+ 802.3at. HD video connectivity includes 1 RJ45 port with 424M standard and 1 3G-SDI BNC output rated at 800 mV p-p and 75 ohm according to SMPTE 424M. Audio is supplied through 1 3.5 mm line-level input.

The rear board provides 1 HDMI version 2.0, 1 USB 2.0 Type-A port and 1 2-pin Phoenix port for RS485 input and output, with a maximum distance of 1200 m and VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-P protocols. It also provides 1 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 input and 1 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 output, each with a maximum distance of 30 m and VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-P protocols. Pan movement is ±170° at 1.7°-100°/s; tilt movement is +90° to -30° at 1.7°-69.9°/s. There are 255 presets.

Move 4K PTZ cameras can be controlled through OBS, Livestream Studio, Wirecast, vMix, mimoLive and Tricaster, or with a hardware joystick controller from the same brand. Integration with Blackmagic switchers is provided. Remote operation from anywhere in the world can use NDI, Zoom and other cloud-based software. Direct live streaming to CDNs such as Facebook and Youtube is supported. The supplied remote controller and dedicated App provide remote control. A Tally light is included.

Voice-Tracking is available in beta testing and uses beamforming algorithms to detect and follow the speaker’s voice, automatically controlling pan, tilt and zoom around the subject regardless of the subject’s position in the room. Several mounting options are available and the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.

Power is supplied by 12 V DC or PoE+ 802.3at, with maximum input power of 18 W. The housing combines aluminium and plastic, the colour is white and the working environment is indoor. Operating temperature is -10 to 40 °C and storage temperature is -40 to 60 °C. Dimensions are 17 x 18.1 x 22.8 cm and weight is 2 kg. HDMI modes include 3840 x 2160p at 60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97 and 25 fps; 1920 x 1080p at the same values; 1920 x 1080i at 60, 59.94 and 50; and 1280 x 720p at 60 and 59.94.
