PTZOptics Link 4K 30X is a white PTZ camera with a Sony CMOS sensor measuring 1/1.8 inch and delivering 8.42 effective megapixels. It captures video up to 4K UHD at 60 fps or 1080p at 60 fps over SDI. A 3D noise-reduction system supports performance in low-light scenes, while the bright 30x optical zoom with F1.61 ~ F5.19 aperture provides a horizontal field of view up to 59.2°. Auto tracking follows the framed subject without a camera operator. Presenter Lock keeps a selected person locked at distances up to 91 m, even when other people are in the frame, and lets the user switch between presenters with a single click.

The updated Web UI places configuration and auto-tracking management in a straightforward menu system. Available outputs are SDI, HDMI, USB and IP. Dante AV-H is built in for demanding Dante projects and workflows, with audio and video routing, configuration and device management handled through one platform. Link 4K automatically synchronises with the Dante system clock for accurate AV synchronisation and can natively stream Dante AV-H video over the network together with sources connected to the 3.5 mm audio input.

The RJ45 interface supports PoE+. The camera can be controlled with OBS, Livestream Studio, Wirecast, vMix, mimoLive or Tricaster, or through a hardware joystick controller from the same brand. Integration with Blackmagic switchers is also available. Remote operation from anywhere in the world is supported through several tools, including cloud-based software such as Zoom. Users can stream directly to CDNs such as Facebook and Youtube; control is also available through the supplied remote controller and the dedicated App. A Tally light is included.

Voice-Tracking, currently in beta testing, uses beamforming algorithms to detect and follow the speaker's voice, automatically panning, tilting and zooming around the subject regardless of their position in the room. Video tracking, image flip, mirror and freeze are supported. The camera uses a 1/1.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor, while the lens has f = 7.1 ~ 210 mm and F1.61 ~ F5.19, equivalent to 32 ~ 825 mm in 35 mm format.

HDMI resolutions include 3840x2160p-60/59.94/50/30/29.97/25, 1920x1080p60/59.94/50/30/29.97/25, 1920x1080i-60/59.94/50 and 1280x720p-60/59.94. SDI supports 1920x1080p-60/59.94/50/30/29.97/25, 1920x1080i-60/59.94/50 and 1280x720p-60/59.94. The field of view ranges from 2.5° tele to 59.2° wide horizontally and from 1.4° tele to 34.6° wide vertically. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lx @ (F1.8, AGC ON), and shutter speed ranges from 1/30 s to 1/10,000 s.

Pan movement is ±170° at 1.7° ~ 100°/s; tilt movement is +90° to -30° at 1.7° ~ 69.9°. There are 255 presets. Rear-board connections include 1 HDMI version 2.0, 1 USB 2.0 type A and 1 2-pin Phoenix port with RS485 input and output, a maximum distance of 1200 m and VISCA / Pelco-D / protocols. HD video output consists of 1 RJ45 adaptive 10/100/1000M Ethernet port, 424M standard, and 1 BNC-type 3G-SDI output at 800 mV p-p, 75 ohm, according to the SMPTE 424M standard.

The audio interface is 1 x 3.5 mm line-level input. Communication uses 1 x 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 input and 1 x 8-pin mini-DIN RS232 output, both with a maximum distance of 30 m and VISCA / Pelco-D / Pelco-P protocols. The RJ45 network interface is a 10/100/1000M adaptive Ethernet port supporting PoE+ 802.3at. Power can be supplied by 12 V DC / PoE+ 802.3at, with maximum input power of 18 W. The housing combines aluminium and plastic, measures 170 x 181 x 228 in W x D x H format, weighs 2.0 kg and is intended for indoor operation. Operating temperature is -10 °C to 40 °C; storage temperature is -40 °C to 60 °C.
