PTZOptics POP-PT20X4K-PRODUCER-SJOY includes 3 PT20X-4K-GY-G3 cameras and 1 PT-SUPERJOY-G1 IP and serial joystick controller. The package also contains Camera Management Platform, or CMP, software for managing, controlling, colour-correcting and automatically tracking the PTZ cameras.

Each PT20X-4K-GY-G3 uses a 1/1.8" Sony CMOS sensor with 8.42 effective Mpixels and captures up to 4K UHD at 60 fps or 1080p at 60 fps over SDI. The 3D noise-reduction system supports performance in low-light conditions. The 20x optical zoom ranges from F1.58 to F3.95, with a 6.25-125 mm focal length and a 31-589 mm 35 mm equivalent. Horizontal field of view is 3.5° at telephoto to 60.7° at wide angle, while vertical field of view is 1.9° to 34.1°.

Digital zoom reaches 16x and provides these levels: off at 3840 x 2160, 2x at 1920 x 1080, 3x at 1280 x 720, 4x at 960 x 540, 8x at 480 x 270 and 16x at 256 x 144 pixels. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lx at F1.8 with AGC ON, and shutter speed ranges from 1/30 s to 1/10,000 s. Video flip, mirror and freeze functions are supported.

Automatic tracking follows the framed subject without an operator. Presenter Lock can keep a specific person locked at up to 76 m even when other subjects are in the frame, while a button press changes between presenters on stage. The updated PTZOptics Web UI provides tracking management within a menu system. Outputs include SDI, HDMI, USB and IP. Native NDI | HX3 distributes broadcast video through a low-latency IP infrastructure with a stable frame rate up to 4K resolution. The cameras support PoE+ through the RJ45 interface.

Move 4K PTZ cameras can be controlled using OBS, Livestream Studio, Wirecast, vMix, mimoLive and Tricaster, or through a hardware joystick controller from the same brand. Integration with Blackmagic switchers is also available. Remote operation from anywhere in the world can use NDI, Zoom and other cloud-based software. Direct live streaming to CDNs such as Facebook and Youtube is supported. The supplied remote controller and dedicated App provide remote operation. A Tally light is included.

Voice-Tracking is available in beta testing. Beamforming algorithms detect and follow the speaker’s voice while automatically adjusting pan, tilt and zoom around the subject regardless of the subject’s position in the room. Several mounting options are available and the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.

For each camera, pan movement is ±170° at 1.7°-100°/s, while tilt movement is +90° to -30° at 1.7°-69.9°/s. There are 255 presets. HDMI modes include 3840 x 2160p at 60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97 and 25 fps; 1920 x 1080p at 60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97 and 25; 1920 x 1080i at 60, 59.94 and 50; and 1280 x 720p at 60 and 59.94. SDI supports 1920 x 1080p at 60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97 and 25 fps, 1920 x 1080i at 60, 59.94 and 50, plus 1280 x 720p at 60 and 59.94.

HD video connectivity consists of 1 adaptive 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet port with 424M standard and 1 3G-SDI BNC output rated at 800 mV p-p and 75 ohm according to SMPTE 424M. Audio uses 1 3.5 mm line-level input. There are 1 RS232 input and 1 RS232 output on 8-pin mini-DIN, with a maximum distance of 30 m and VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-P protocols. Network operation supports PoE+ 802.3at; power is 12 V DC or PoE+ 802.3at, with maximum input power of 18 W. The camera housing is aluminium and plastic, the colour is grey, the working environment is indoor, operating temperature is -10 to 40 °C and storage temperature is -40 to 60 °C. Dimensions are 16.84 x 14.15 x 16.45 cm and weight is 1.47 kg.

PT-SUPERJOY-G1 is designed for smooth, efficient workflows with simultaneous NDI, IP and serial control of a wide range of PTZ cameras, including PTZOptics models. It handles pan, tilt and zoom through a streamlined interface with advanced controls for power users. Connections are RS-232, RS-485, RS-422 and RJ-45. The controller supports a maximum of 255 cameras in total: 28 cameras arranged in 4 groups of 7 channels, plus one group with up to 227 cameras.

Recommended maximum distances are 15 m for RS-232 and RS-422, 1200 m for RS-485 and 100 m for Ethernet. Baud rate ranges from 1200 to 19,200 bps. Power consumption is 6 W using 12 V DC or PoE 802.3af; only one power source may be used at a time. Working temperature is -10 to 50 °C, working humidity is 10-90% non-condensing, and dimensions are 37 x 18 x 10.1 cm.
