Double-shielded DMX cable for dimmers and fixtures, tour-grade - PROSPECTA PRS-G834

The Prospecta PRS-G834 is a black connecting cable for dimmers and lights, compliant with the DMX-512/1990 communication standard. It is suitable for mobile, fixed and semi-permanent installation; its construction is durable and walkable, combining flexibility with shielding. It is supplied in 100 m reels.

The conductors are stranded tinned copper (TC), made of 7 wires measuring 0.20 mm. The listed cores/section is 2 / 0.22 nr. x mm². Insulation is made of foamed polyethylene (PEE), with white and red core identification, a diameter of 1.50 ±0.05 mm and an inner conductor resistance of 91 ohm/km. Impedance is 120 ohm. Peak operating voltage is 49 V AC / 110 V DC, voltage rating Uo/U is 300 / 300 V, and test voltage is 2000 V. Insulation resistance is greater than 20 Mohm/km.

The first shield uses Duplex aluminium/PET foil, type 9/12, with 100% coverage. The second shield is made of tinned copper (TC): the descriptive text specifies a copper bundle with 80% coverage, while the technical characteristic lists a spiral shield with 87% coverage. The drain wire is tinned copper, with a 7 x 0.20 construction. An anti-crushing cotton filler is also included.

The outer jacket is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), type TM2 (YM2), with a hardness of 64 Shore, matt black RAL9005 colour and an outer diameter of 5.20 ±0.10 mm. For fixed installations, the temperature range is -15 to 70 °C and the minimum bending radius is 10 x diameter.
