The RONDSON BE-1040 handheld microphone is a UHF wireless microphone compatible with the BE-1040 UHF receiver and operating at 517.5 MHz. It features a PLL synthesizer, a 50 m range in open areas and an easy-to-read LCD display.

Frequency stability is ±10 ppm, RF power is 10 mW and modulation is FM with a frequency deviation of ±48 kHz. The frequency response covers 50 Hz - 15 kHz, while dynamic range is above 110 dB. Power is supplied by 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries and consumption is 100 mA. The construction combines alloy with a metal grille, and dimensions are 24 x 5 x 3.3 cm.
