The RONDSON AP 480/2 is a 480 W power amplifier with 70 / 100 V loudspeaker outputs and an 8 ohm low-impedance output. It can operate from 230 VAC or 24 VDC mains; the specified power supply is 115–230 V AC at 50/60 Hz and 24 V DC. A 20 kHz detection circuit checks whether the unit is operating normally. The 100 V input terminal block allows operation on a long-distance distributed network system, while the input accepts balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA. The device can also be triggered by remote control. Outputs of 0–8 ohm and 70 / 100 V provide a choice of output impedances and voltages.

Dimensions are 430 x 300 x 88 mm and weight is 19 kg; a 19-inch rack mounting option, mounting brackets and EQ 2000 are specified.
