AL-SK13KAS is a DLP laser projector from Appotronics’ S Smart series, developed for immersive visual experiences using the ALPD 5.0 RGBX full-spectrum laser engine. This triple-laser architecture produces an extremely wide gamut, a red ratio above 11%, more saturated colours, more faithful reproduction, and colour stability for immersive and multi-projection installations. The “X” component further broadens the light spectrum and may include phosphors or LEDs; it forms part of Appotronics’ proprietary know-how.

Its 0.8″ DLP chip operates at 4K+ resolution of 3840 × 2400 and delivers 13,000 - 14,000 lumens at the centre, producing sharp, artefact-free images with detailed reproduction, including in 4K applications. Coverage of ≥110% Rec.709, combined with DLP precision and the RGBX engine, supports high-definition content reproduction, particularly for immersive applications. The super-compact design simplifies integration in complex spaces, while the NFC module speeds up pre-configuration and reduces commissioning time.

Installation is supported by nine optional lenses designed and manufactured in-house by Appotronics, with throw ratios from 0.36:1 to 6.8:1, covering ultra-short throw through telephoto. Selecting the appropriate lens allows distributors and system integrators to optimise cost, configuration, and final output without being tied to predefined combinations. Geometric corrections include corner keystone, curved surfaces, and a multi-point grid of up to 33 × 33 points, adapting projection to irregular surfaces and complex scenic settings without external hardware.

Management combines the APOS operating system with the APCS control platform for efficient, centralised local and remote control of single- and multi-projector installations. The S Smart series uses a patented internal cooling system to stabilise the temperature of the colour wheel and engine, maintaining operational stability even in harsh environmental conditions. The IP6X-certified optical engine provides complete dust protection and virtually maintenance-free operation. Signal backup also enables automatic switching to a reserve channel if the main channel fails.
