The Blackmagic Media Dock is a high performance network storage system designed to work directly with Blackmagic Media Modules used on URSA Cine cameras, providing an incredibly fast and seamless workflow for post production, live production and DIT. It lets you edit files directly from the modules, without having to copy them, thanks to the ability to house up to three Media Modules in a 2 rack unit design. The Media Dock uses the same high speed modules as the URSA Cine cameras, each consisting of four M.2 drives in RAID 0 with built-in heat sinks to ensure consistent transfer speeds, even with extremely high resolution 12K and 17K files. LED rings around each slot show real-time read and write status of the modules. The base model includes a built-in 4-port 10G Ethernet switch, perfect for connecting multiple DaVinci Resolve workstations simultaneously. The USB-C Ethernet port allows you to access the modules from a laptop, leaving the 10G ports free for network users. The HDMI output allows you to monitor system status on a TV or monitor, including storage map, speed graphs, cloud sync, and active users. The Media Dock constantly syncs with the Blackmagic Cloud, allowing global file sharing and instant collaboration between editors, colorists, and VFX artists, even while the camera is recording. Multiple Media Docks can be synced in different locations, giving you local copies of files with zero latency and no dependency on internet speed. The Media Dock is perfect for DIT carts and on-set workflows, giving you instant access to recorded files, color grading directly from the modules, and fast backups during shoots. 10G ports allow multiple workstations to work on the same files simultaneously without slowing down. Blackmagic Cloud Store Utility is free for Mac and Windows, allowing you to configure users, passwords, network settings, security certificates, and cloud sync.
