Passive bass-reflex 15" subwoofer 1000W RMS - HARMONIC DESIGN HDE-60015

The Harmonic Design hd Sub15 is a very compact, powerful and easy-to-transport passive subwoofer with a bass-reflex system. Its specially designed 15" woofer uses a 4" voice coil and provides ±15 mm linear excursion. Ventilation at the magnetic pole core optimally removes voice-coil heat, allowing power handling of 1000 W RMS and 4000 W peak.

Lower heat development improves reliability and reduces thermal stress on the voice coil. The result is high dynamics with dry, controlled bass at very high sound pressure. No internal passive crossover is included: frequency filtering must be handled by Harmonic Design system power amplifiers or by an external electronic crossover. Active crossover operation is possible up to 160 Hz with a 24 dB/oct slope, supporting effective transitions between subwoofer and satellite.

The cabinet is made from high-quality plywood and protected by a finely textured polyurea finish resistant to scratches, impacts and weather. Two ergonomic handles on the top simplify transport. The front steel grille is rust-proof and lined internally with bonded acoustic foam.

An M20 threaded insert on the top allows a pole to be fitted for connecting another loudspeaker. Four abrasion-resistant rubber feet on the underside provide secure support. An installation version without handles and without the M20 thread is also available. The hd Sub15 can be used as a slave subwoofer together with the hd P15 stereo active subwoofer or with all power amplifiers in the Harmonic Design system, delivering reliable and accurate low-frequency reproduction.

The model uses one high-performance 15" subwoofer rated at 1000 W / 4000 W, has a frequency response from 40 Hz, a stated maximum SPL of 136 dB, a compact format and low weight. The installation version without handles and M20 thread is available.
