AVMaster-4KUltra-D is a 4K decoder that converts and decodes video and audio signals transmitted through the Dante AV Ultra protocol into HDMI 2.0. Dante AV Ultra brings the Dante Audio industry standard into AV-over-IP products, allowing audio and video to be routed independently to wherever they are required.

The decoder has an RJ-45 port for Dante AV Ultra and handles high-definition video up to 4K 60 4:4:4, with lossless compression and a latency of only 8 ms. It supports audio streams of up to 8 channels, 24 bit, from 32 to 192 kHz. An input and an output for analogue L/R audio are also provided on a 3.5 mm mini-jack. Ultra-precise audio and video synchronisation is managed by Dante Controller software.

The stated applications include permanent video and audio installations, concerts, sporting events, large exhibition halls, schools and education environments, corporate settings with video conferences and corporate presentations, and places of worship. A 10 Gb switch is required when handling multiple signals. The web-based user interface controls the entire system without connecting a keyboard and mouse to the device and without using RS232 / 485. The decoder also has 2 USB ports and a third port for firmware updates.

Power can be supplied by an external 12 VDC 2 A power supply or through PoE. All Dante AV Ultra series products are compatible with the same SDK, meaning Software Development Kit: developers can use the same set of tools and software libraries to program and integrate the decoder regardless of the processor architecture, X86 or ARM. API integration is also available through DANTE DIRECTOR software.
