Controller LED all-in-one COEX 10 Ethernet - NOVASTAR NOV-MX30

The NovaStar MX30 is an all-in-one LED display controller from the latest COEX control series. It combines video processing and control in one unit and provides multiple video inputs: 1 HDMI 2.0 with loop through, 1 HDMI 1.4 with loop through, 1 DP 1.1 and 2 3G-SDI inputs with loop through. The output section includes 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 10G optical ports and 1 SPDIF digital audio output. Total load capacity is up to 6.5 million pixels; the calculation adds the load of all ports and does not count blank pixels.

The HDMI 2.0 input supports up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz or 8192 x 1080 at 60 Hz in forced mode. HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.1 each support up to 4096 x 1080 at 60 Hz, while the 2 3G-SDI inputs support up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. Supported frame rates range from 23.98 to 240 Hz depending on the input type, including decimal values with fine adjustment in 0.01 Hz steps. Standard EDID and custom resolutions are supported.

For content protection, HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 support HDCP 2.2, 1.4 and 1.3, while DP supports HDCP 1.3. The controller supports HDR10 and HLG and complies with SMPTE ST 2084 and SMPTE ST 2086. Layer management provides 3 independent layers with priority adjustment in Z order. Four image-scaling modes are available: custom, pixel to pixel, snap to canvas and fill screen.

Fourteen-channel colour correction allows accurate adjustment of hue, saturation and brightness. Full greyscale calibration can use NovaStar's high-precision calibration system together with the C3200 scientific-grade camera to generate unique calibration coefficients, improve uniformity and enhance image quality.

The MX30 provides two working modes: All-In-One Controller and Send-Only Controller. Latency is 0 frames in Send-Only mode and 1 frame in All-In-One mode, with additional latency adjustable as required. Send-Only mode reduces latency by one frame, while All-In-One mode enables layering and scaling functions. The unit includes a Genlock signal input with loop through, Ethernet control ports and an auxiliary port. Its Gigabit Ethernet control ports support the TCP/IP protocol and star topology for cascading control, removing the need for additional switches or routers.

Active monitoring checks the status of the device and the screen, with instant notifications for faults or alarms. The controller integrates with NovaStar's Vision Management Platform, or VMP, software for device management and control. Power input is 100-240 V AC at 50/60 Hz and maximum power consumption is 55 W. Operating temperature is -20 to 45 °C and operating humidity is 0 to 80% RH, non-condensing.

Storage temperature is -30 to +80 °C and storage humidity is 0 to 95% RH, non-condensing. The IP rating is IP20. Dimensions including foot pads are 48.26 x 9.42 x 46.67 cm and net weight is 7.2 kg. The box includes the power cord.
