Presentation switcher P20 - Pixelhue PIX-M04030131

Pixelhue P20 is a presentation switcher based on a high-performance FPGA hardware architecture, designed to process 4K 60p 4:4:4 10-bit video with advanced de-interlacing. Its connector set is intended for the latest video devices and includes HDMI 2.0, DP 1.2, 12G-SDI inputs and 8 x 10G optical-fibre ports. The fibre ports copy the HDMI 2.0 outputs, allowing the switcher to send signals to LED display controllers over distances of up to 10 km without fibre converters, also reducing costs.

Available inputs are 8 x DP 1.2/HDMI 2.0 and 4 x 12G-SDI. Outputs include 8 x HDMI 2.0, 4 HDMI 1.3 AUX outputs for auxiliary devices such as teleprompters, and a dedicated Multiviewer output for live monitoring of all inputs and outputs on a display. P20 can operate as either a switcher or a splicer. In switcher mode it provides two 4K x 2K outputs at 60 Hz; in splicer mode it reaches 8K x 4K at 60 Hz.

The dual operating modes, true 4K inputs and outputs without colour sub-sampling, high-quality video processing, smooth transitions and views, image mosaicing and multiple transition effects make P20 suitable for medium-sized live events and fixed installations requiring reliability, ease of use, image quality and advanced live 4K processing functions.

The unit supports 7 layers, configurable as 3 x 4K layers + 4 x 2K layers or 4 x 4K layers, with user-defined layer arrangement. Up to 128 presets are available. High-resolution images can be captured from live inputs and outputs and used as a background. DSK functions include luma key and chroma key; SDR, HDR10 and HLG are supported, with conversion between these formats.

Control is available through the backlit front-panel keys and 5-inch graphical LCD display, or through the U5 live console, an intuitive web GUI interface or stream deck. Several backup methods are supported, including input-source backup, output backup and device backup; switching from the primary unit to the backup unit is instantaneous. The construction and electronic components are intended for demanding operating conditions. The manufacturer has conducted drop tests, shock and vibration tests and thermal tests to verify resistance during any kind of road trip.
