High-speed optical module designed for professional video infrastructures based on 100 Gbps QSFP28 connections. Developed for PIXELHUE's high-performance presentation switchers, it enables the transport and distribution of large amounts of video, audio, and control data with minimal latency and high bandwidth.
Based on the 100GBASE-LR4 Ethernet standard, the module uses four independent 25 Gbps channels, achieving an aggregate capacity of 100 Gbps. This architecture enables connections between video systems requiring the simultaneous transfer of uncompressed, ultra-high-resolution video streams.
In applications connecting processors to PIXELHUE video switchers, a single 100G QSFP28 interface can handle the bidirectional sharing of up to four uncompressed 4K video streams. The same technology is also used in SMPTE ST 2110-compliant IP platforms, enabling the native transport of broadcast video, multi-channel audio, and control data across high-performance IP networks.
The module integrates WDM DML LAN transmitters, optical multiplexing, and Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) functions for operational monitoring. With compatibility with G.652 single-mode fiber and a range of up to 10 km, it represents a reliable solution for professional AV installations, broadcast infrastructures, and next-generation network video distribution systems.
