2-channel class D 1U rack power amplifier - JB SYSTEMS BEG-B08128

AMP 200.2 Mk2 is the updated Mark II version of the JB Systems AMP 200.2 professional power amplifier. Its Class-D architecture provides 2 x 130 WRMS into 8 ohms or 2 x 250 WRMS into 4 ohms through two channels. The compact enclosure retains a standard 19" rack width and occupies 1 U, equivalent to 44 mm.

The internal layout has been redesigned to improve reliability and heat dissipation, while three fans help regulate the operating temperature. Power comes from a highly efficient soft-start switching supply.

Operation can be set to stereo, mono or bridged. Stereo keeps the two channels independent. In mono, the channel inputs are linked and the LEFT input can drive both output channels with the same signal. Bridged operation combines the final stages and delivers 500 W into 8 ohms.

A peak limiter helps prevent signal distortion. The low-cut filter removes low frequencies from 75 Hz, using a steep 24 dB/oct slope. Input sensitivity is selectable at 0.775 V, 1.0 V or 1.44 V, allowing connection to any source. A rear switch is provided for floating ground.

The included plastic cover can be secured with 4 screws in front of the front-panel controls, preventing unauthorised people from changing the input levels. Balanced XLR inputs are provided, together with a link output for daisy-chaining another power amplifier. The main outputs use speakON connectors. Protection is included against short circuits, high temperatures and overloads.
