Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro 2TB is an advanced desktop recorder / player designed to dramatically simplify live video production where quality, versatility and efficiency are key. It is ideal for those who need to record ISO files, program feeds or live images from cameras, as well as for playback of clips in sequence at live events. This specific model includes a 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD for up to 16 Gb/s cache recording.
The main feature compared to the HyperDeck Shuttle HD is the large 7” LCD touchscreen that provides an intuitive interface for monitoring and managing recordings with on screen menus and a powerful operating system. The display includes a HUD (Head-Up Display) that shows crucial information such as Time Code, media status and audio levels.
With multi rate 12G-SDI ports capable of handling resolutions up to 2160p, the unit can connect to professional broadcast equipment, allowing you to record and playback H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and DNx files, with the ability to work with HD proxies and 3D LUTs for precise color calibration.
H.264 and H.265 formats feature high compression ratios, allowing you to get smaller file sizes without sacrificing quality, which is perfect for those who need to archive large amounts of content. Not only can you record broadcast masters in these formats, you can also choose between PCM or ACC audio for uploading to YouTube.
In addition to SDI, there are also HDMI IN/OUT connections in SD, HD and Ultra HD for connecting to cameras, monitors, video projectors and switchers (such as the ATEM Mini from the same brand).
HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro 2TB, which can also be used with one hand, also features a large ergonomic search dial with a soft rubber surface for navigating clips and menus and switching to Jog / Shuttle mode, as well as broadcast controls for smooth operation, classic buttons for play, pause and record video. Also of note is the possibility of monitoring the waveforms (including the vectorscope for color analysis, RGB/YUV parade and histogram) for fast and quality editing.
The built-in speaker allows you to monitor the audio content of the files.
The 10G Ethernet connection allows for network recording and fast file sharing (so you can share media with other people on the network) and even synchronization with the Blackmagic Cloud.
In addition, just like the HyperDeck Shuttle HD model, it supports SD card storage via the rear slot, UHS-II and external USB-C disks, ensuring flexibility in managing content and compatibility with the most popular video editing software, as well as a wide range of Blackmagic switchers, disk docks and cameras.
It also supports ExFAT (Windows) and HFS+ (Mac) file systems, ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
Finally, the device includes a built-in teleprompter, which allows you to load text files without the need for additional software, making it easier to read during live productions.
Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro 2TB has been designed to meet the needs of directors, editors, broadcasters and content creators, offering a mix of power, advanced tools and an intuitive interface. The features make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, high quality recording and playback solution.
