Blackmagic Design Cloud Backup 8 is a professional backup and storage system for archiving large amounts of data on low-cost 3.5" SATA magnetic hard drives. The chassis is designed for a standard 19" rack and provides a scalable solution for managing media files.

Eight independent bays allow drives to be installed and removed quickly and safely. All drives can be accessed simultaneously over the network through 4 × 10G Ethernet ports, providing high-speed transfers and advanced connectivity for production environments. Blackmagic Cloud synchronisation saves collaborative projects in real time so files remain up to date and available to the team. The HDMI monitoring output displays storage status in real time on an external monitor.

The system allows traditional low-cost hard drives to be used for backing up large amounts of data. Blackmagic Cloud file synchronisation is suited to shared DaVinci Resolve projects; the 4 × 10G Ethernet ports provide high speed, while the HDMI output shows storage status on a monitor. Application areas include broadcast studios, post-production and media archiving.
