Presentation switcher 8x2 4K scaler HDMI HDBaseT VGA - CYP EL-8300VA

The CYP EL-8300VA is a multi-format presentation switcher with integrated scaling for HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort and VGA sources, with HDMI and HDBaseT outputs. Its 8 x 2 arrangement complies with HDMI 2.0, DVI 1.0 and HDCP 2.2, and handles video up to 4K UHD at 18 Gbps, including 4K at 50/60 Hz 4:4:4 with 8-bit depth on HDMI input and output. Upscaling, downscaling, EDID handling and HDCP management are included.

The split HDMI and HDBaseT outputs provide scaling capabilities. HDBaseT carries video, audio, control and Ethernet over a single Cat.5e/6/7 cable for up to 100 m at 1080p and 70 m at 4K; automatic 6G signal conversion supports HDBaseT compatibility. Standard PoH is also available from the unit to compatible HDBaseT receivers.

Its audio section offers analogue inputs, a balanced microphone input, DSP mixing for audio from several inputs and a built-in 2 x 20 W stereo amplifier. This reduces the equipment required for passive loudspeakers, while integrated mixing and microphone management support clear presentations. The USB-C port can deliver up to 60 W to connected equipment, allowing laptops and mobile devices to be powered without external power supplies.

Control is available from the front-panel buttons and through OSD, RS-232, Telnet, Web GUI, IP Telnet, triggers and the optional Trigger Control Keypad. The keypad provides straightforward one-button operation. Immediate handling of mixed source types increases presentation flexibility, maintains optimised video quality regardless of source resolution, reduces cabling and simplifies installation. Control remains quick and intuitive in unattended environments.

The switcher is intended for conference rooms and meeting rooms, classrooms and educational environments, multi-format corporate installations, professional presentations and AV systems using long-distance distribution.

Connections include 5 HDMI ports for uncompressed AV and data, 1 DisplayPort for uncompressed AV, 1 15-pin Dsub for VGA RGBHV, 1 6.35 mm stereo jack for microphone, 6 3.5 mm stereo mini-jacks for analogue stereo L/R, 2 2-pin phoenix connectors for contact-closure relay outputs, 1 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack for an infrared receiver, 1 4-pin phoenix connector for local RS-232 control, 1 4-pin phoenix connector for the HDBaseT RS-232 pathway, 1 RJ45 for HDBaseT HDMI and proprietary data, 1 5-pin phoenix connector for balanced or unbalanced analogue stereo and 2 2-pin phoenix connectors for stereo speaker-level output.
