KMU-300 is a versatile multi-channel 4K switcher with 14" capacitive touch display, the all-in-one solution that converts 4K inputs into four 1080p outputs. With intuitive joystick and control buttons, manage PTZ camera movements and frame selection on the touchscreen. It can play multiple horizontal or vertical screens, facilitating real-time streaming across two platforms and backup to SD card.
One of the most interesting features of this switcher is the ability to transform a single 4K camera into the effect of five HD cameras with their respective camera angles. In this way, streams will be enriched with versatile and captivating images. In fact, 4K cameras are widely available but online content does not require full 4K resolution for streaming content. Therefore, this switcher is perfect, for example, for interviews because it reduces the amount of cameras needed to stream your production live.
To enhance video production and achieve cinematic precision, you can take advantage of the KMU-300's simple control over cropped video and external PTZ cameras. With a joystick and a responsive zoom knob, you have the ability to pan, tilt and zoom with precision: easily switch between angles, capture essential moments and create dynamic, professional-level content.
KMU-300 also has an intuitive gesture interface. Zoom in and out, pan and tilt with simple and natural gestures like pinching and swiping, those that belong to the world of smartphones. The switcher allows you to fine-tune camera angles and framing with the simple touch of a hand. This innovation ensures that your productions are not only high quality, but also remarkably easy to use, making them perfect for content creators of all levels.
The device also supports embedding audio into video with audio mixer for RCA, XLR, 4K camera and PC audio embedding, providing audio volume adjustment and direct recording in H.264 format to SD card to simultaneously conduct streaming live on dual platforms and recording to SD card on site, providing a complete solution.
The KMU-300 also features dedicated HDMI inputs and outputs for PC signals, simplifying the transmission of the presenter's PPT content.
This versatile unit also uses the SRT protocol for streaming instead of RTMP. Many broadcasters have experienced pixelated video during live streaming, often due to unstable network environments caused by bandwidth volatility and packet loss. RTMP streaming over unreliable networks can cause problems. With dvCloud you can replace the RTMP protocol with SRT to solve most of these problems.
Streaming live video directly from the KMU-300 is easier than ever. Simply connect the KMU-300 to your local network, connect your PC to the network and set up the streaming encoder. Furthermore, the switcher allows vertical and double streaming on two different platforms and is perfectly compatible with Datavideo's dvCloud service. dvCloud Professional can stream to 25 different platforms at the same time or to different channels of the same platform!
In conclusion, the Datavideo KMU-300 is ideal for self-media studios and simplifies camera control, audio mixing, dual streaming and recording, allowing a single operator to broadcast and multitask.
