BRAVIA A80L OLED TV Acoustic Surface Audio+ - SONY SON-FWD-55A80L

The Sony BRAVIA A80L brings a cinema-style viewing experience into the home through a new OLED panel and XR OLED Contrast Pro, which works on colour and contrast to make important details, rich colours and deep blacks stand out. The Cognitive Processor XR analyses images according to the way the human eye observes real life, improving visibility in shadowed areas and very bright zones, including thrillers and other content with dark settings.

Acoustic Surface Audio+ makes sound come directly from the screen, turning it into a loudspeaker and keeping audio closely aligned with the picture. The system can be combined with a compatible Sony soundbar through Acoustic Center Sync. A sophisticated design with a Metal Flush Surface Bezel and a 3-way TV stand allows the display to suit different interiors and installation arrangements.

The dedicated gaming menu includes Motion Blur Reduction, Black Equaliser, Crosshair with six available styles, and Custom Screen. The latter can enlarge the visible area when more detail is needed in every corner of a game, or reduce it when the eyes need to concentrate on the enemy with laser vision. Google TV brings together more than 700,000 movies and TV episodes from streaming services, organised by topics and genres to match personal interests. The BRAVIA range can save up to 32% more energy, while the Eco Dashboard places all eco settings in one intuitive location so energy use can be managed without hassle or jargon.

BRAVIA CAM is compatible, sold separately, and enables video chats on the big screen together with other functions. A80L also includes Crunchyroll, a streaming service dedicated to anime, with a broad library of anime, manga, original content, films and shows translated, subtitled or dubbed in a variety of languages. The source also contains the final fragment “Wonderful pictures with bright, pure black OL”.

PrimeSupport combines the picture and sound quality of the consumer TV range with a professional service package and after-sales support. It includes access to the Elite Helpdesk for integrators, with knowledgeable technical support from expert teams; Advanced Exchange for faulty products, with technical assistance for swap and on-premise installation wherever possible; 3 years of standard cover, with the option to extend it by an additional 2 years.
