Blackmagic Design Videohub 80x80 12G is a zero-latency 12G-SDI video matrix designed to connect and distribute any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD signals up to 2160p60 simultaneously in a broadcast studio. It lets monitors view any source and supports broadcast and live production workflows where racks have no room for extra hardware panels. The front panel occupies a standard 19" 2U rack format, while its frame increases the total height to 4U so the rear can accommodate the numerous BNC connectors: 80 12G-SDI multi-rate inputs and 80 outputs.

Reclocking regenerates the signal on every input, maintaining quality and optimising jitter for longer cable runs without signal interruptions. SDI can carry up to 32 audio channels. The 5" full HD LCD displays labels and live video before routing; the label below the image identifies the relevant input, while sources can be browsed forwards and backwards alphabetically, including video using different standards. The menu is available in 13 languages. Quick-selection buttons and the large electronic-clutch knob provide source navigation. Ethernet enables remote operation through Videohub Software Control from Mac, Windows and iPad devices or through software control panels. The matrix provides 10-bit colour precision and additional features for improving workflow and upgrading the studio.
