Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 8x4 12G is a compact ⅔-rack video matrix switcher for routing SDI signals in SD, HD and Ultra HD. It can add inputs to SDI broadcast equipment and provides a clean switch system selectable on the video outputs rather than tied to the inputs. One source can therefore be routed to one output while being sent directly to other outputs at the same time. The unit has 8 12G-SDI inputs with loop-through output on each input and 4 dedicated 12G-SDI outputs.
The front panel includes 12 dedicated input and output buttons. For urgent connections, it also provides an emergency 12G-SDI input, a USB-C webcam output and a 12G-SDI output. SDI reclocking is available on every 12G-SDI input. The compact format suits broadcast environments with limited space; clean switching stabilises video transitions when sources change, while reclocking maintains signal quality over long cable runs. Front-panel control is quick and simple, with 12G-SDI compatibility for broadcast and video production environments.
